Peru. Egypt. A poncho made of llama wool. And a vision I can't explain, one I simply carry inside me.
This episode is about why retreats have always been turning points for me. And why they just might be one for you too.
The Poncho From Peru
You've probably seen this poncho in my videos. I don't just wear it for the podcast, I wear it here in Germany too. Yes, I get strange looks.
But this poncho is more than fabric. It's made of llama wool. Handwoven by the Indigenous people of Peru. It protects against rain, cold, and blazing sun, and in their belief, against the things you can't see too.
Every day it reminds me of what I experienced in Peru. And why I came back from there with a connection to Egypt.
Thailand 2013: The Retreat
That Launched My Business
I was in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In a Buddhist temple. A silent retreat. No communication with anyone. Just you, your thoughts, and meditation.
What happens in a silent retreat? Your mind finally settles. You stop leaving unfinished the thoughts you never finish in everyday life. The distraction falls away, and underneath it is what actually matters.
Back then I had thousands of business ideas. But no structure. No execution.
After just 2 to 3 days of Vipassana? My head was bursting with clarity. I couldn't stay any longer. I had to go and build, right away.
"Retreats give you permission to finish the thoughts you never finish in everyday life."
Peru, December 2024:
The Vision That Explained Egypt
A few months ago I spent 14 days in Peru. Not as a coach. As a participant.
Why? Because after an intensely demanding year, I needed clarity, about my relationship, my business, my path. Peru is incredibly varied: desert, high snow-capped mountains, the Amazon. We did desert rallies, went to Machu Picchu, and then, in the Sacred Valley, four, five, six days of intense ceremonies with San Pedro (a cactus) and Ayahuasca.
In those states, where consciousness dives into very deep layers, I saw something I can't explain:
That explains my pyramid logo. That explains why my first big retreat takes place right there.
Peru is an energetic hub, where so-called ley lines, the planet's energy meridians, cross. Egypt? Even stronger. The region between Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor is considered one of the most powerful energetic hubs on Earth. That's not woo-woo, it's geography that people have known intuitively for thousands of years.
The Egypt Retreat:
What Really Awaits You
The retreat is called "Healing & Activation of the Sacred Heart", the healing and activation of your higher self. Here's the program:
Small group: 11 to 12 people. Mixed (men and women). The participants so far have been the best and most intense people I've ever had in coaching.
Hypnosis & Theta Waves:
How Transformation Really Works
A common misconception: hypnosis is not the stage hypnosis you see on TV. I work with deep trance states, sessions that can last 3 to 8 hours.
The Brainwave Levels
In the theta state, the waking mind can no longer "block." No rationalizations. No ego projections. In sessions I've watched people recognize and dissolve deep patterns, things that years of therapy never moved.
"Sometimes blocks can't be solved in the head. They have to be transformed on a different level."
This isn't secret knowledge, it's simply what happens when you go deep enough. Retreats are the only setting where that depth is realistically within reach.
Why Retreats Are So Powerful:
the 5 Factors
Thousands of miles away from your everyday life, your stress, social media. Your nervous system can finally regulate, without being constantly interrupted.
Time to finish your thoughts. In daily life we never get to. Too much distraction. Retreats give you permission to truly stop.
Places like Peru, Egypt, and Costa Rica have a different energetic density. Whether you can explain it rationally or not, people feel it the moment they arrive.
A small group (10 to 15 people), all working through similar things. You're not alone. The group energy carries you, even in the hard moments.
Hot seats, workshops, Kundalini, breathwork, hypnosis, meditation, all together, in a short window. That creates a density you can't replicate online.
Who Are Retreats
Right For?
Come if you:
- Are successful professionally, but experience drama in love
- Feel like you're on the edge of burnout
- Keep carrying job stress straight into your relationship
- See the same relationship patterns again and again
- Are ready for real transformation, not just motivation
- Are open to spiritual work (meditation, hypnosis, breathwork)
Don't come if you:
- Only want to learn tactics (there are online courses for that)
- Aren't ready to let go
- Expect a group of 50-plus people
Upcoming Retreats:
What's Planned Next
Legal plant medicine (San Pedro, possibly Ayahuasca) with real shamans. Rainforest. Intense ceremonies.
A focus on feminine energy, intuition, healing. Where I started my business, now a retreat home for deep transformation.
Back to my roots as a digital nomad. Bangkok, Chiang Mai. The country where it all began in 2013.
